As I have projected and would be expected, we are starting to see the seasonal softening in mortgage interest rates. They began their seasonal decline late last week and are now back under 7%. If you are buying now, you may want to clarify with your lender that you can close at any available lower rate as rates should continue to go down over the next six weeks.

I continue to be professionally confronted by would-be real estate scammers, mostly of the foreign "I’m looking to buy a single-family house (plus run-on sentence and bad grammar)" WhatsApp variety, and keep seeing headlines that confirm similar scam assaults on homeowners.
